Activism is more than shouting into a megaphone—it’s taking a stand on changing reality. This workshop will encourage critical thinking and taking your own actions to support the environment.
This workshop breaks the myths about activism and encourages critical thinking by providing the tools to identify the challenges of environmentalism and undermine the status quo.
In the theoretical portion of this workshop, you will tackle what activism is - principles, elements, how and why it works, and how it impacts our day-to-day life. Moreover, you’ll learn about creative activism campaigns done by this nonprofit and around the world— from Impersonating as construction workers on the beach to cancer day march for closing the pollution industry in Haifa bay.
In the practical portion of this workshop, you’ll practice critical thinking by breaking into smaller teams, identifying an injustice, work-related or personal, and effective action planning. Finally, the teams will present their work followed by a group discussion.
You will learn how to make an impact by using the tools from the workshop to reassess the status quo in your daily lives and take action to create a change in order to improve your environment.
