What you’ll do

Work with your team to clean up an area in your community! This clean-up can take place at a park, a river, the beach, the woods, or anywhere else that needs a little extra love and attention. Through this clean-up, you will learn about the importance of taking care of the environment, the problems caused by litter, and the roles that we all have as guardians of our world.

Agenda:

  • Meeting and Introductions (5 minutes)
  • Presentation About the State of the Environment (5 minutes)
  • Handing Out Materials and Instructions (5 minutes)
  • Clean-Up Activity (1 hour 30 minutes)
  • Measuring Collected Waste (10 minutes)
  • Celebrating the Impact (5 minutes)

How you’ll make an impact

Environment
Your contribution will support the organization’s growing presence and help increase their impact on people’s relationship with nature. It will also help advance and complete the large-scale environmental action the organization is planning in the open ocean.

This nonprofit regularly organizes worldwide clean-ups, company cleanups, and large-scale ocean cleaning projects.
