What you’ll do

This hybrid virtual and in-person yoga class can seamlessly engage your team members whether they're working from home or at the office. Those at home will join a video call with members of the nonprofit while those at the office will gather safely in a conference room or common area with a big screen and tune into the same call.

It is important to feel calm and centered during the workday. Workplace exhaustion, burnout, and fatigue do not have to be a part of your everyday professional routine. Yoga is a useful tool in combating overwhelming and stressful feelings by calming your mind and slowing anxious thoughts. The power of mindfulness through yoga can help improve productivity, boost mental wellness, and reduce negative emotions caused by common workplace stressors.

This impactful floor or chair yoga session will help attendees connect with their body and breath. Through a slow-paced practice, they will tap into inner calm and resilience that will serve them throughout the rest of their week.

Why it matters:

This nonprofit empowers those affected by domestic violence and sexual assault to transform their lives. The organization uses the healing practice of trauma-informed yoga to empower survivors while helping communities develop the skills and the knowledge to support them. When you participate in this nonprofit's classes, you are directly supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

What to bring

  • Comfortable clothing you can move in
  • For chair yoga, all participants will need a chair. For floor yoga, a yoga mat or towel is highly recommended for each participant.

What else you should know

  • In-person volunteers at the office should gather in a large conference room or common area with ample space and a big screen where the group video call can be shown. Speakers and a good mic will also be needed.
  • Larger groups can be accommodated for a different price upon inquiry.

How you’ll make an impact

Women & Girls
Your contribution funds two trauma-informed yoga classes for survivors of domestic violence and assault.

This nonprofit organization aims to make the yoga mat a safe space for women by providing weekly trauma-informed yoga classes at domestic violence shelters and community centers.
