"Azimuth" is the horizontal direction expressed as the angular distance between the direction of a fixed point (such as the observer’s heading) and the direction of the object —or, more simply, a compass direction.
The Azimuth Check is a tool designed to help an individual navigate where they are, where they want to be, and the path to get there. Veterans and service members use the Azimuth Check to assist them in navigating their transition and reintegration journeys. In contrast, civilian patriots can use the Azimuth Check to help them become leaders in their community.
Each veteran seeking reintegration services begins by taking the Azimuth Check, a proprietary 25-statement self-assessment that gives a holistic picture of the veteran emotionally, physically, spiritually, professionally, and socially. VetSTAR coaching helps the veteran identify areas in which they desire improvement. Peer support and subsequent Azimuth Check self-assessments help the veteran keep on track to achieve their goals.
By participating in this experience, you'll learn how to utilize the Azimuth Challenge to self-assess, become more aware of your own goals, and discover how to become better allies to military veterans transitioning back to civilian life in their communities.
