Girls are looking for meaningful ways to connect now more than ever—and that’s where you and your team come in. In this experience, you will be writing Relatable Role Model Letters for the nonprofit's program participants. These letters aim to inspire, encourage, uplift, and celebrate girls in their communities.
Writing these letters will provide both you and the girls with a unique way of communicating and feeling connected. Below are some helpful guidelines on writing your letters:
- The letter should be one page in length.
- The letter should be handwritten to give it a personalized touch.
- Decorations, colors, markers, and stickers are welcome.
- Bright and bold colors are encouraged.
- Letter recipients are girls in grades 3 to 8 and 6 to 12 (roughly 8 to 13 years old and 11 to 18 years old). You will be able to choose which age demographic you would like to write to.
- Ensure your writing is legible and use language that is accessible to young folks.
- Use inclusive language.
- Feel free to share your first name, age, city, and/or profession, but please do not include any other identifying/personal information.
